Podcasting with YouTube
TinyURL'd
For many a moon I wondered and frustrated over the fact that YouTube did not have a proper Podcasting function for use in programs like iTunes - I mean, it really is the same damn thing, except Podcasts arent streaming at the time.
How does it work? Extremelly simple, actually. Take the username of whatever YouTuber that you are fond of and type that into the YouTube Username form on the front of YTPodcaster website and press Get Feed;
Now, mind you, I think YTPodcasts work a bit slower than the YouTube channel, but to really bug me I found this website right during the sxephil break, so I wasnt quite sure what was going on… Anyways, click on whatever Podcast program you are using and, at least in the case of iTunes, it just kinda works. A little… something… like… this;
So it got me thinking, GoDaddy and Netflix and Audible are the major ad supporters of Podcasts internationally. I mean, it makes sense, people deep in the Internet-scene are more likely to, a) have a website, b) rent movies online, or b) buy audiobooks.
YouTube just got a whole bunch more useful.
Obligatory Tech Prediction for 2009

If not only for the attempt of looking cool, here we go;
More companies will start joining Twitter
Recent news showed Dell making a good $1M, now, compared to the rest of the income, that is not necessarily a large quantity. But it was enough to show off, to both fan and exec’s, how useful advertising deals and the like can be.
Apple TV/ Mac Mini upgrade:
The Mac Mini has not updated in over an entire year, which at least in comparison to the iPod, looks like its death. Apple has been treating the Apple TV as more a hobby project, but has been doing well with it. Also, with the recent update to the HP MediaSmart to work with iTunes and Time Machine, a relative upgrade would seem appropriate, but since the Apple TV and Mac Mini are so similar, upgrading both would be redundant.
The iPod Classic won’t fit any more songs
A rule of thumb where buying an iPod, is that if its been a few months since the last update, wait a week or two and the iPod will be upgraded. When the iPod Touch was introduced, they dubbed the next generation of the iPod Video’s as the iPod Classic. The second generation of the Classic, if you can call it that, denoted the hard drive space from 160gb to 120gb, but what they really did was take out the 160gb hard-drive and replaced with a dual 60gb solid-state drive. The rumors of a iPod Touch-esque, tablet-esque Apple product just prove how whole-heartedly Apple is going towards the touch interface.
Kevin Rose will re-publish Pownce
To much anger and confusion, SixApart bought Pownce and hired the devo team. Although they did publish their plans to incorporate the Pownce software into their products like Vox, MoveableType and TypePad. But why did they close the original website? Well, SixApart has said that, in the new year, they will be releasing the Pownce engine for either purchase or beta. A large portion of the Pownce community was there just for the affiliation with Kevin Rose, and he definately has the cash to pick the software back up.
SMS in Canada will come back to Twitter
Or imma beat some ass, beat some ass real bad.
More countries will be turned into more TinyURL websites
Because we dont have enough; b65.us, c-o.in, dn.vc, faceto.us, fly.ws, hurl.it, is.gd, Just.as, x.se, LNK.IN, turo,us, Twitty.ms and Xil.in, and that is just the ones that use county URLs…
Sony PS3 will team with Blockbuster (or someone like that)
With release of Microsoft’s NXE for the Xbox 360, they included a NetFlix client; letting you order and stream their entire catalog of movies for no price in addition to a normal NetFlix account service. I dont use it for reasons that are legal in Canada, but I have heard nothing but praise from friends that do use it. Recently, it was announced that Blockbuster was (finally) doing an online service, and besides the fact that both of their main colors are blue (OMFG COINCIDENCE?!) I would not be alone in assumption that the PS3 will follow suit, as the only thing the PS3 has over the 360 is space, and movies take space. And people that bought a PS3 are going to be looking for cheap rentals for a while now…

X-men Origins: Wolverine
TinyURL'd
“Mr. Jackman, what do you think of the Wolverine Origins movie rumors?” asked a reporter, who’s name has now been forgotten.
“What do I think? Hell, I started them.”

X-men Origins: Wolverine
This is a transcription of an interview, by whom, on what and when I do not remember, and I am most certain that is not exactly how it went, come on, it was years ago! But I digress, how it was said does not matter because, as has been well known for ages before, and was reminded by featured video, it is really coming. And my nerdboner is, quite appropriately, as stiff as a damn Adamantium claw.
I do admit, I never noticed much of Hugh Jackman before his role in the first X-men movie. I liked that movie a fair bit and I thought he did the role very well (although a bit tall for Logan) but still left a final judgment on his talents until I saw his latter films. And I really do damn like the dude.
So what do we get in this sucker? What did these unadulterated 2:23 of pure nergasm give us?
As a child, Logan was named James Howlett, he lived in a mansion in Alberta, Canada, with two parents (John and Elizabeth Howlett), his unnamed grandfather and an adoptee named Rose. Before his birth, is parents begot another son, John II, who died early on due to a sickness. James was also a very sickly child, but managed to survive his earliest years. James’ parents also employed Thomas Logan and his son, “Dog”, as gardeners. In the first scene of this trailer, James (Wolverine) is shown seeing his father, John, being shot dead by Thomas Logan (0:15); it is when crying over his fathers body (0:17) that his powers evolve right into the chest of Thomas Logan (1:38). What you don’t see is that it is right in front of Thomas’ son, Dog, thus enticing a years long grudge towards James.
This has been out for years, anyone following that paragraph properly is, presumably, a Wolverine fan, and anyone who is as thus has probably already read that stuff up.
One of the, if not the very, most popular co-star in this movie would be Gambit, Remmie LeBeau (1:30) - bitches love him. But through analyzing this trailer astutely (and the cast listing) we have a young Storm (1:53) and, who I believe to be, Emma Frost (1:57). Although not the clearest shot, Deadpool can also be seen doing a flippy-flip (1:56).
IMDb is handy, but not the most accurate of souces. Although Storm is in the trailer, she is not in the cast records, but a younger Scott Summers is cast by a certain Tom Pocock. Storm and Cyclops were two of the original X-men (along with Iceman, Angel and Beast), so seeing two of them cast in the same movie is too coincidental to not mean anything more. With this in mind, there is a high chance that cameos of other members will show up as well.
