Heroes and Villains

With the rediculously motivated Writers’ strike of yester-season broke the hearts of millions of Heroes fans.  The finale of Season 1 was an even fifty: fifty in regards to the fan reaction.  Season 2 had so much hope, and with a snail-pace intro we were really penning on a stronger second half.  But then Hollywood decided to be a jerk and was not a fan of the idea of writers getting a percentage of sales of their respective franchise DVDs.  I am not sure how it ended, but only that it ended, and that it ended too late.  Season 2 comes on DVD August 26, but instead of shipping a disc or two they decided to beef up the package with ‘behind the scene’ for every episode.  In a few ways (very few) the Writers’ Strike had some pree’ nice side effects; the last few epsodes were brilliantly written and the behind the scenes on the DVD set sounds pretty cool

Well here we have it, ABC went and recently released a trailer for the third season of Heroes, aptly titled Heroes: Villains”.  The title alone excites the masses.  The first season was all about Peter and Sylar, and it ended in a very comic book fashion (ambigulously).  The second season was looking further into a few characters, a few relationships and into the mythology of the ‘Godsend’.  It even explored the idea of hereditary powers, something asked aplenty by the ravenous fanbase.

So what can we get from this trailer?

  • Noah talks to Claire about his past history defending against the Villains, this would harken back to the connectin between Noah and Adam.  If Robert Bishop was in the team looking to get rid of those with powers, that would explain the Shanti virus.
  • Level 5: this is where the aformentioned Villains seem to be kept, next to it is a folder titled Knox, possibly for Fort Knox?
  • Why is Matt Parkman in a desert, possibly Texas?  That is where The Company is situated, as he has telepathy he probably finds something out from someone.
  • “All of us with powers” “But we know we are not alone”
  • The bald man (looks a lot like John Locke from Lost) seems to be trying to escape with his blue-fire powers?  Kamehameha anyone?
  • Nikki is boning more politicians, meaning there wil probably be a pseudo-political intrigue here.
  • Suresh is hanging upside in captive somewhere, as did he in Season 1 when he was investigating on Sylar.
  • Sylar gets his powers back and made contact with Peter, or someone else with telekinesis.
  • Suresh is injecting himself with something, Shanti virus having a comeback?
  • And for some reason, Claire is shooting Peter in the face.  Initially I thought it to be Peter’s ex-gf that he left somewhere in the future, and that would make a bit more sense.

This is just a list of speculations and theories and ideas and the like.  I am not promising anything here, but I am probably right about a lot of things because, well, I usuay am.
